A brawl between two bitter rivals ensued, new tag team champions were crowned, and multiple matches were set for WWE’s “Wrestlemania 42” in Las Vegas. These were some of the key moments that unfolded during the latest episode of “Monday Night Raw,” which aired from Madison Square Garden.

CM Punk gets retribution

Ever since he won the men’s Royal Rumble match in January, Roman Reigns has made it a point to capitalize on the success of World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. The constant mind games have led the two superstars to become bitter rivals in the lead-up to their main event match at “Wrestlemania 41.”

Last week, Punk exchanged words with Reigns and Jey USO. Reigns didn’t take that lightly, as he hit the world champion with a Superman punch and a spear. Punk then found himself on the receiving end of a power bomb through the commentators’ table.

One week later, no words were exchanged. Instead, both men engaged in a brawl that culminated in Punk throwing Reigns through the table, closing out the show with momentum at a new high.

The Vision dethrones the USO’s

Jimmy and Jey USO faced off against Logan Paul and Austin Theory of the Vision for the second straight week. But this time, the USO’s World Tag Team Championship was on the line.

Paul, the YouTube sensation turned professional wrestler, slipped a pair of brass knuckles into his hand with the help of fellow YouTuber IShowSpeed. Paul was able to knock out Jimmy USO with the brass knuckles before being forced out of the ring by Jey USO.

With two superstars out of the equation, Theory was able to pin a knocked-out Jimmy USO to pick up the win, making him and Paul the new World Tag Team Champions.

Another match is set

Former World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins made his return to the squared circle after a shoulder injury took him out of action. His first course of action was to get revenge against his former manager, Paul Heyman.

Across the past four episodes of “Monday Night Raw,” Rollins has arranged coordinated attacks against Heyman, who issued a response by choosing Gunther to take on Rollins at “WrestleMania 41” in what should be an enticing match of strategy versus raw strength.

Moments away from a massive brawl

Former NXT champion Oba Femi didn’t waste much time getting into a heated rivalry after joining the main roster. His first target was a returning Brock Lesnar, who issued an open challenge to anyone willing to face him at “WrestleMania 41.”

Femi took up his challenge, as he took down Lesnar on the last two episodes of the weekly show. In the confines of Madison Square Garden, the two superstars planned on engaging in another fight.

But WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, broke them up, squashing any chance of fans getting a preview for their matchup scheduled for later this month.
