For music, indie rockers Joywave will headline the Saturday mainstage at this year’s Tulip Fest, radio station WEQX announced on its Facebook page Wednesday. Sharing the stage with the trio that hails from Rochester is Grace Bowers, the teenage blues-rocker from Nashville, and E-Block, the Rotterdam-based rock group. On the 518Stage are four local artists and groups: Keegan James (1 p.m.), The Sugar Hold (2:15 p.m.), The Belle Curves with Delaney Hafener (3:30 p.m.) and 97otis, aka Orlondo Otis Hundley II (4:45 p.m.).
Also planned for the evening is a Royal Tulip Ball at the New York State Museum, with proceeds benefitting the Capital City Fun. Tickets can be purchased by emailing tulipball@albanyny.gov.
