April 2, 2026 (Stockholm, Sweden) — The Star Wine List of the Year tour is heading to the United States in May 2026, to name the best wine lists in New York and Florida. Awards events will be held in each location, on 4th and 6th May respectively, both attended by sommelier teams from the shortlisted venues – the country’s wine elite. Two expert judging panels have just decided their finalists, which include Eleven Madison Park, Chambers, Coqodaq, Chez Fifi and Blue Hill at Stone Barns in New York, and COTE, Sexy Fish, Amara at Paraiso, Michael’s Genuine and Harry’s West Palm Beach in Florida. These venues, and more, will now compete for Gold Stars.

Star Wine List is the international guide to the world’s best bars and restaurants for wine lovers. From September to June each year, the Star Wine List of the Year awards traverse the globe, rewarding the top wine lists in each region. The current season began in September 2025, and will have incorporated 14 territories in Europe, the Americas and Asia in the main tour, plus one digital event to cover the rest of the world, before culminating in the winemaking countryside of southern Sweden for a Global Final in June 2026; during this grand finale, Gold Star winners from each regional contest will compete for international glory.

This is Star Wine List’s fourth time recognising the work of New York’s wine-centric venues, and the second Florida edition. The latter event is demonstrably growing in size, given the geographically expanding set of finalists since last year’s debut – the 2026 nominees are located not just in the gastronomic hub of Miami but in Aventura, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, Naples, Ocala, Orlando, Sarasota, Surfside, Tampa and West Palm Beach, too. New York’s finalists include industry giants such as Eleven Madison Park, Daniel, The Four Horsemen, Chambers and The Polo Bar.

Sitting on judging panels for both regions is Missouri-based Doug Frost (one of only a handful of people in the world to have earned the titles of both Master Sommelier and Master of Wine). He is joined on the New York jury by Mikk Parre (ASI Best Sommelier of Europe, Africa and the Middle East 2024) and prominent local figure Yannick Benjamin. In Florida, Doug works alongside Master Sommelier Kathrine Larsen-Robert (Head of Wine, Europe at 67 Pall Mall) and New York-based French sommelier Pascaline Lepeltier.

Winners in the ‘international’ categories at both events will automatically be entered into the Star Wine List of the Year Global Final 2026, which will be hosted by Terra Skåne.
