MIDWOOD, Brooklyn (WABC) — A 44-year-old woman was fatally struck by an ambulance early Thursday morning in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, police say.
The ambulance making a left turn from Avenue O onto Ocean Avenue when it ran over the pedestrian.
The woman was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives believe that the driver likely did not realize the pedestrian was struck and kept going.
Police are looking to talk to the driver.
