COURTHOUSE,
April 2 – Charles White is
charged with a role in eight
armed robberies in The Bronx
in 2022. On April 29 he
appeared before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Barbara C.
Moses. Inner City Press was
there, the only media in the
SDNY Mag Court.

  The
charged robberies including a
deli on West Fordham Road, a
smoke and lottery shop, a
laundromat, a hotel and a gas
station.

  Before
being brought up, there were
loud noises from the holding
cell, and some doubt if the
proceeding would take place.
It did, and White was detained
on consent. He will soon see
the assigned District Judge,
Jennifer L. Rochon.

On November 17,
2025 he pled guilty.

On April 2, 2026,
for an April 9 sentencing, the
US Attorney’s Office wrote in
asking for at least 96 months,
with numerous redactions in
its memo.

  The case
is US v. White, 24-cr-239
(Rochon / Moses)
