Police said earlier Friday that the alleged gunman, 21-year-old Amuri Greene, is facing murder and other charges in the death of Kaori Patterson-Moore.

Authorities said Patterson-Moore was struck by a bullet while sitting in a stroller near Humboldt and Moore streets in Williamsburg on Wednesday. According to police, the two suspects were driving a scooter, and the person riding on the back of the scooter fired the shot that struck Patterson-Moore.

Patterson-Moore’s father rushed her to a local hospital, where she later died, according to authorities.

The two suspects fled the scene after the shooting before crashing the scooter they were driving, authorities said.

Police said Greene was taken to a local hospital for injuries after the crash, where he remains hospitalized. He has not yet been arraigned.

Authorities had been searching for the alleged second person on the scooter in the two days after the shooting took place.

Patterson-Moore wasn’t believed to be the intended target of the shooting. Police sources said the shooting may have been gang-related.
