UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are searching for a man who punched a 73-year-old on a Lexington Avenue sidewalk, leaving the victim hospitalized, New York City Police Department officials said.
The assault happened around 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 21 in front of 1276 Lexington Ave., near the corner of East 86th Street, when a verbal dispute between the two turned violent, police said.
The attacker struck the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground before running off, police said.
The victim was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital with facial and shoulder injuries and is in stable condition, officials said.
Police have not made any arrests yet, but posted surveillance photos of the suspect.
