Welcome to New York. The city’s international auto show opened to the public on Friday but not before a new slate of EVs made their debut at the annual car show in NYC. As part of previews ahead of the show, several brand-new, all-electric options were revealed alongside some traditional gas-powered and hybrid options.
Here are the big-name EVs that made a splash at the NYIAS.
2027 Subaru Getaway

A three-row all-electric SUV from a longtime favorite outdoor adventure brand might be just what the weary EV crowd needs. With few options with a third row and Subaru slow to offer all-electric options other than the milquetoast Solterra, the Getaway is injecting some excitement in the global EV lineup.
The all-wheel-drive-as-standard vehicle will offer a 95.8 kWh lithium-ion battery with more 300-mile range, dual motors with 420 horsepower, 8.3 inches of ground clearance and all the inside amenities and goodies expected for a family car. Other than a 14-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, it will have more cargo space than a Kia EV9, as the brand specifically pointed out.
A standard-range version will be available in 2027 with a 77 kWh battery.
Pricing and more trim details will be announced closer to launch in late 2026.
Kia EV3 makes it North America debut at the NY Auto Show.

It’s easy to keep track of Kia’s EVs since they are numbered and all include EV in the name. The latest from the Korean company for the U.S. and Canadian market is the EV3, a smaller SUV, especially compared to the hulking EV9.
It’s expected to have 320-mile range depending on the trim with Kia’s usual fast-charging. More about the pricing and trim levels will be announced closer to sales opening in late 2026. The EV3 already launched in Europe at the end of 2024 where it starts around $35,000 Euros (about $41,000 USD).
The 2027 Lucid Gravity lineup was announced at the NYIAS.

The sophomore vehicle, Gravity, from EV startup Lucid now offers its all-electric SUV in two trims: Touring and Grand Touring.
The Gravity Touring starts around $80,000 and includes Lucid’s DreamDrive driver-assistance system. The top trim is the Grand Touring starting just under $100,000 with the driver assistance included. Both trims now include more standard features and offer new optional packages, like the Prestige Package.
Genesis GV60 Magma is an electric performance vehicle.

If the Magma name doesn’t give it away, Genesis is trying to break into the high-performance and racing space—and it’s electric. The GV60 Magma will make it to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with 641 horsepower and 165 mph max speed, making it the fastest Genesis EV ever. It has boost mode which gives the driver 15 seconds of max output.
The “regular” GV60 gets to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds in comparison. The base starts around $55,000.
The Magma is expected to arrive at some point in 2026, likely this summer. It will be the first product Magma in what’s expected to be a performance line across the luxury brand.
Other EVs and new cars spotted on the show floor include the Hyundai Boulder concept (a non-electric body-on-frame SUV that has strong Ford Bronco vibes), Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT, Corvette CX Concept and Polestar 4 Arctic Circle Edition to round out some of the EVs on the floor.
The NYIAS runs through April 12 at the Javits Center in Manhattan.
