New York is trying to put an end to a three-game losing streak, while Carolina is going for its third win in a row and its fourth in its last five. Carolina will be the big -230 favorite to win the series outright tonight. These two will play the season series finale on April 14 in Long Island.

Sebastian Aho and Taylor Hall both had two assists apiece. The game was even more important because the Hurricanes clinched a playoff spot for the eighth season in a row.

The Islanders are coming off a lopsided 4-1 loss at home on Friday to the Philadelphia Flyers, who only have one less point than New York. Philly scored the first three goals of the game on a night where it wasn’t really close. Matvei Michkov had a goal and two assists for the Flyers. Jean-Babriel Pageau scored the lone goal for the Islanders. Now the Flyers are only a point back for third place in the Metro. It won’t get any easier tonight, especially playing on consecutive nights, against the best team in the East to boot.
