Faulk is questionable; the defenseman did not practice Friday after leaving in the second period of a 4-2 win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday with a lower-body injury; Red Wings coach Todd McLellan said he was hopeful Faulk could play. … Sandin-Pellikka was recalled from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League on Saturday under emergency conditions with several other defensemen “banged up.” … Quick will return and start after missing the past eight games, including the past seven with an upper-body injury. … Vaakanainen was in a regular jersey for the second straight day; the defenseman has missed eight games. … Sykora could remain on the fourth line after he and Brodzinski swapped places in a 3-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.
