Avon, N.Y. — Vintage Drive-In on West Henrietta Road is now open for the season!

Guests at Friday’s opening night got to pick from two double feature options. One included “Project Hail Mary” followed by “Crime 101.”

The other featured “Super Mario Galaxy” following the “Goat,” an animated sports film.

“It’s different than going to movie theater,” said Paul Pescrillo, the drive-in’s head manager. “You’re in your own car. You’re able to watch the movie the way you want to watch the movie. No reserved seat like the movie theater, for example.”

“We like being outside to see the movie,” said Sarah Mullan, who attended with her family. “The snacks, and quality time together.”

“I used to come here when I was younger, so it’s fun to come back again,” Mullan added.

The drive-in is open Friday through Sunday starting at 7 p.m. every week until the end of May, when it will start opening every day of the week. The drive-in opens at 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
