A pre-dawn attempt to steal high-end vehicles from a garage beneath the SKY luxury apartment building unraveled spectacularly Sunday morning — leaving a smashed McLaren on a sidewalk, a Range Rover trapped under a garage door, and damaged cars scattered across a Hell’s Kitchen street, in what police describe as an attempted multi-vehicle theft involving four to five suspects.

The chaos stretched from W43rd Street — where the garage entrance sits mid-block between 11th Avenue and the West Side Highway — to the corner of W42nd Street and 11th Avenue, where a bright blue McLaren came to rest crumpled against a traffic light pole, its doors flung open and front end crushed onto the curb outside the FedEx building.
