HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac softball team swept Friday’s doubleheader against Manhattan, securing their fifth MAAC series win of the season.

Game One
Kennedy DeMott led the offense, driving in the game’s first run with an RBI single in the first before adding a solo home run in the fourth.

Quinnipiac broke the game open in the fifth, loading the bases with a pair of singles by Noelle Reid and Mary Fogg and a walk to Sofia Vega.
The Bobcats plated four runs in the inning on a hit-by-pitch, a fielder’s choice, and RBI singles from Riley Potter and Natalia Apatiga.

Shannon Kendall earned her 12th win of the season, tossing six shutout innings while allowing six hits and striking out four.
Jasmine Kline closed out the game with a scoreless inning in relief.
Game Two
The Bobcats wasted no time in game two, scoring four runs in the first inning behind four straight hits. Demott highlighted the frame with an RBI double, while Potter and Kinsley Cox added RBI hits to extend the early lead.

Quinnipiac added four more in the fourth, capitalizing on a Manhattan error before back-to-back hits from Ally Hochstadter and Cox helped push the lead to 10-0.
Manhattan scored its lone run on a sacrifice hit, but the Bobcats secured the 10-1 run-rule victory.
Laney Adie earned her fifth win of the season, pitching a complete game while allowing one run on four hits and striking out three.
