One man is dead and another is in critical condition after they were shot Sunday evening in a busy area of Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, the New York City Police Dept. said.

The shooting happened around 5:50 PM outside a restaurant and nail salon on Fulton St. near the Cleveland Street subway station. A 30-year-old man died from his wounds at a hospital. 50-year-old man who was also hit several times is in criticial condition.
The NYPD says a “person of interest” is in custody, but has not released their name, or a possible motive for the shooting. Investigators have also not said if they believe the suspect and victims knew each other.
