The state budget is now six days late, and because of the religious holidays, not much is expected to be accomplished before Tuesday when lawmakers return to Albany to pass a budget extender. To give us a sense of what’s next, and whether a late budget matters, Capital Tonight invited Shontell Plummer, partner and head of NY Practice at Tusk Strategies, to the show. Also, environmentalists argue that the state’s air quality control program allows landfills and others to operate for years while court challenges run their course.Â
