QUEENS, NY — Human remains were found under an overpass near the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in Queens Tuesday morning, police said.
The decomposed body was found around 11:09 a.m. in a vacant storage area under the Exit 41 ramp near Northern Boulevard in East Elmhurst.
Additional details on the human remains found have not been released. It is not known if the remains were those of a man or woman.
The city’s medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
An investigation remains ongoing.
