A 42-year-old MTA bus driver was beaten by an irate straphanger in the Bronx, cops said Tuesday.

The victim was attacked aboard a Bx3 bus at University Ave. and W. Fordham Road in University Heights around 1:10 p.m. on March 19, according to police.

The pair were arguing when the passenger punched the victim in the face, splitting his lip, cops said.

Medics rushed the bus driver to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, said police.

His attacker fled the scene on foot.

Police released an image of the suspect, who was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket, white t-shirt, multicolored hat, dark colored pats and white sneakers.
