Queen Elizabeth died in 2022, but her legacy lives on — especially through the big family she left behind.

Britain’s longest-reigning monarch was not only a mother to her four children — King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward — but she also saw the birth of her eight grandchildren, including Prince William, and Prince Harry, in her lifetime.

And the royal line continues to grow: On Jan. 22, 2025, Princess Beatrice announced that she and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their second child together, a girl whose name included a tribute to the late Queen.

Below, check out the royal guide to Queen Elizabeth’s 14 great-grandchildren (and one on the way!).

Peter and Autumn Phillips are parents to Queen Elizabeth‘s eldest great-grandchild, Savannah Phillips, who was born on Dec. 29, 2010. Coincidentally, Peter, the son of Princess Anne, is also eldest grandchild of the monarch.

At the time of her birth, Savannah was 12th in line to the throne — but the arrivals of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis bumped her down the list.

Furthermore, due to the arrivals of Meghan Markle‘s, Princess Beatrice‘s, and Princess Eugenie‘s children, respectively, Savannah now sits 20th in line.

Savannah is the first grandchild of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, her ex-husband.

Peter and Autumn Phillips welcomed their second child, daughter Isla Elizabeth Phillips, on March 29, 2012. She sits just behind sister Savannah in the line of succession to the throne.

Isla’s first name is unique to the royal family. It is the Scottish word for “island.” Her middle name is, of course, a nod to her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth.

Isla is the second grandkid of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips.

When George isn’t learning history, French and even ballet, he’s proven to be a pro page boy and is a fan of The Lion King.

The Queen’s granddaughter, Zara Tindall, and Zara’s husband, Mike Tindall, welcomed their first child, daughter Mia Tindall, on Jan. 17, 2014. Mia is currently 23rd in line to the throne.

The Tindalls went with a name not found in the family for their firstborn. Mia stems from the Egyptian word for “beloved” and is Italian for “mine.”

Mike told The Sunday Times in May 2017 that Mia was their “saving grace” after Zara experienced a miscarriage.

Mia is the third grandchild of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips.

Prince William and Kate welcomed their second child, daughter Princess Charlotte, on May 2, 2015. She is the younger sister of Prince George.

Thanks to the Succession to the Crown Act 2013, birth order determines who will become the next king or queen of the U.K., regardless of gender. Had it not been in place, Princess Charlotte would have lost her spot to younger brother, Prince Louis. She’s just behind brother George at third in the line of succession.

The former adorable bridesmaid is known for her perfected royal wave and stealing the show with her cute antics.

His full name is Prince Louis Arthur Charles, in which all three names are a nod to royal family members. He sits just behind his sister at fourth in line of succession to the throne.

He first showed off his big smile at his christening — and has been charming the world with his contagious grins ever since.

Zara and Mike Tindall welcomed their second child, daughter Lena Tindall, on Jan. 18, 2018. She is the younger sister of Mia and comes after Zara experienced two miscarriages.

“You need to go through a period where you don’t talk about it because it’s too raw but, as with everything, time’s a great healer,” Zara told the U.K.’s Sunday Times.

Lena sits behind Mia at number 24th in the line of succession to the throne.

She is fourth grandchild of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their second child, daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana, to the world on June 4, 2021. The couple announced Meghan’s pregnancy on Valentine’s Day.

“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet,” read a statement from the couple. “Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.”

Lili’s first birthday fell during her great-grandmother’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, in which Meghan and Harry shared an adorable new photo of her.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their first child together, daughter Sienna Elizabeth, to the world on Sept. 18, 2021. (Mozzi also shares son Wolfie with ex-wife Dara Huang.)

While it’s obvious to the baby girl’s middle name is a sweet tribute to Beatrice’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth, her first name incorporates several thoughtful nods to her mother Fergie — including the red hair shared by the three generations of women in their family.

She has joined the line of succession to the throne on the royal family’s official website and is listed at the 10th spot, just behind her mother, as “Miss Sienna Mapelli Mozzi.”

Sienna’s birth means Princess Eugenie and all the royals behind her are now bumped down a notch in the royal pecking order.
