MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Riley County police announced the arrest of a man in connection with drug possession on Tuesday morning.
The arrested man was identified as Ty Suggs, 33, of Manhattan.
According to the Riley County Police Department, Suggs was arrested around 10:03 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of N. Juliette and Poyntz avenues.

Officials said it was reported that Suggs was in possession of illegal substances in violation of the registered offender act and interfered with law enforcement officers.
He was booked into the Riley County Jail in connection with possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant; possession of drug paraphernalia; interference with law enforcement; violation of offender registration act; aggravated violation of offender registration act; and on a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear that stemmed from original charges of theft.
Suggs was issued a total bond of $20,500 and remained Wednesday in the Riley County Jail, officials said.
