QUEENS, NY — A 38-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with a deadly arson fire in Queens that killed a 3-year-old boy and three others last month.
The blaze quickly spread through the three floors of the building causing a collapse, fire officials said.
Two of the victims have been identified as 3-year-old Sihan Yang and 50-year-old Chengri Cui. A 61-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man have not been identified yet.
Around 230 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene, and it took over two hours to get the fire under control.
Five other civilians suffered injuries. Five firefighters also suffered minor injuries while responding to the blaze.
Last week, the four deaths were deemed as homicides, fire officials said.
