The New York Giants were active in free agency, reshaping the roster in the first offseason under head coach John Harbaugh. They still have plenty of needs ahead of the draft and can certainly add valuable players through unsigned free agents or even via the trade market.

Although the team has already stated that the offensive line is a work in progress, there are other areas of the roster that could also use an upgrade.

FOX Sports compiled a list of one trade that every NFC team should explore ahead of the NFL draft. In this potential trade for the Giants, they would add yet another former Baltimore Ravens player.

The thinnest position on the Giants’ roster might be corner, where veteran Paulson Adebo has battled injuries the past two seasons, Deonte Banks has been a bust, and they’re counting a lot on the flier they took on Greg Newsome. Humphrey, a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, will be 30 and carries a $15.25 million salary, so he might not cost more than a Day 3 pick. The Ravens will be OK in the secondary without him. And they could make this a win-win trade if they can entice Baltimore with edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux in a blockbuster deal, too.

This is not the first time the Giants have been connected to Humphrey in trade rumors. Earlier this offseason, Bleacher Report listed trade possibilities for each team and had the Giants targeting Humphrey while giving up only slightly more draft capital.

Humphrey’s ties to Harbaugh certainly make him an attractive option for the Giants as they move through the rest of the offseason.

The Giants were thin at cornerback last season after top corner Paulson Adebo went down with an injury. They can no longer rely on former first-round pick Deonte Banks. After losing Cor’Dale Flott in free agency to the Tennessee Titans, they could definitely use an upgrade and added depth at the position.

Big Blue did add former first-round pick Greg Newsome II in free agency. He will enter his seventh NFL season this year. However, the cornerback depth still looks very thin.

Humphrey, who has earned four Pro Bowl selections, would provide the team with a veteran whom Harbaugh can trust and could push everyone else outside of Adebo down the depth chart.

With the Giants having given up a third-round pick last year in the trade to move up and draft Jaxson Dart, it is questionable whether they would want to surrender more capital in the upcoming draft. However, Humphrey certainly seems like a strong fit for the Giants, who have already added several former Ravens this offseason.
