QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — The NYPD asked for the public’s help with identifying a man who is wanted in connection with an aggravated harassment incident that occurred at a catholic church in Queens.
On March 14, an unidentified man entered St. Anastasia’s Roman Catholic Church on 245th Street around 11:45 a.m., police said. The man allegedly poured a drink into the baptismal font, stole money from a donation box, and removed a cloth from the altar, according to the NYPD.

The man then fled the church. He was last seen wearing a blue hat, light-colored sweatshirt, black jacket, dark-colored pants, dark-colored sneakers and a bookbag.
The incident is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.
