SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A New York man faces charges after police say he failed to yield for a traffic stop on Interstate 89 south, causing a three-car crash.
It happened on Wednesday morning, just north of Exit 14 in South Burlington.
Vermont State Police say a trooper was conducting a traffic stop when a car driven by Emmit Swanson, 19, of Hamburg, New York, didn’t slow down in time or yield, and drove between the stopped car and a third car that had properly yielded, causing all three to crash.
No one was reported injured.
Swanson faces charges of negligent operation.
