Mariah Carey went viral before viral was a thing with her infamous “MTV Cribs” episode back in 2002.
And now, that piece of pop culture history and Manhattan real estate can be yours for a cool $27 million.
The Tribeca penthouse has “over 12,700 square feet of interior space, 1,100 square feet of private outdoor space, and sweeping 360-degree views from the Hudson River to the Manhattan skyline,” per the listing from Emily Beare and Lexi Alper of Core Real Estate.
The property covers three floors of the building, and includes 8 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a gym, and a sunroom.
There are also painted ceilings, bronze-inlaid flooring, silver leaf embellishments, and a Christmas-themed living area packed with fir tree-inspired lighting fixtures that frame the windows overlooking the terrace, according to Realtor.com.
It’s the first time the apartment has been on the market since Carey purchased it in 1999 for $9 million. The listing refers to the property as Carey’s “former” home.
There was a chance to stay there in 2022, when the “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer did a holiday promotion with Booking.com, inviting two lucky fans to visit the apartment and enjoy a Christmas-themed photoshoot and cocktail experience.
During the “Cribs” episode, the pop diva changed outfits, walked on a stair master in high heels, and stepped into a bubble bath on camera. Viewers also got a look at her walk-in closet, which is strangely not mentioned as a feature on the real estate listing.
