BROOKLYN — A burn victim was flown to the hospital by critical care helicopter Friday morning following a medical call in Brooklyn, according to officials.

East Brooklyn Fire Chief Bill Skene said firefighters were dispatched to Cliff Street around 10:15 a.m. for the medical call. He said the victim suffered serious burns. 

Life Star, a medical helicopter, transported the victim to a hospital in Rhode Island, according to Skene. 

Skene said Connecticut State Police are investigating the incident, including how the person was injured.
