CITYWIDE — COLLECTION OF CURBSIDE TRASH, RECYCLING AND COMPOSTING is suspended next Tuesday, Nov. 4 for Election Day, the city Department of Sanitation announced on Oct. 27.  Residents who normally receive their collection service on Tuesdays are instructed to place their material at the curb Tuesday evening for collection beginning Wednesday, Nov. 5. Collection delays due to backlogging may occur after Election Day and other upcoming holidays when service is suspended.

Election Day is one of three Sanitation Dept. holidays occurring during November. The others are Veterans Day (Tuesday, Nov. 11) and Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 27.) For more information, visit nyc.gov/site/dsny
