The Syracuse Common Council voted Monday to approve an amnesty program for unpaid parking tickets.

The plan would open a window from Nov. 3 through Nov. 21 for people to pay outstanding tickets without additional penalties or fees.

“People have these things, they might not know about them, maybe they’re just kind of kicking them down the road. We really want to give people an opportunity to get a clean slate,” said Corey Driscoll Dunham, chief administrative officer for the city.

The last time the city held such an amnesty program was in 2020, she said.

You can pay tickets in-person in City Hall, or online here. You can also check the site to see if you owe for any back tickets.
