Dallas Trinity FC was blanked by Brooklyn FC on Sunday in a 3-0 loss at Maimonides Park in Brooklyn.
Trinity falls to 3-3-3 in the spring portion of its schedule and sits in fourth place in the Gainbridge Super League playoff picture with five games remaining in the regular season.
The two sides played to a mostly scoreless first half on Sunday before Brooklyn’s Kelsey Hill netted the game’s first goal in the 44th minute. Brooklyn tabbed another in the 57th minute to extend the lead.
Trinity was unable to get back in the game despite a 69th-minute red card for Brooklyn, which added a dagger third goal in the 85th.
Trinity sits seven points back of third-place Carolina Ascent FC and three points ahead of fifth-place DC Power FC for the final playoff spot.
