LAKEWOOD, N.J. (KLTV) – Former Van Vandal Hoss Brewer picked up his first save of the season in Brooklyn’s 6-4 extra-inning victory over Jersey Shore on Friday.
The 25-year-old has not allowed a run in three appearances this season.
Brewer entered the game in the 10th inning. He struck out Luke Davis to begin the frame. Kodey Shojinaga reached on a fielding error that allowed Joel Dragoo to score. Brewer gave up a double and a walk before getting a pop out and a flyout to end the game.
Brooklyn (2-6) returns home to host Greensboro on Tuesday.
