When MJ arrives, Peter introduces himself as ‘Maynard’ to avoid revealing his true identity. Later, MJ tells Ned she turned down a job offer, saying ‘something is just telling me that I’m supposed to be waiting for something great.’ A new character, played by Eman Esfandi, then appears and tells MJ ‘You can’t save everyone,’ before they share a kiss, leaving a heartbroken Peter watching from afar.
