A shopping center on the 5600 block of Ritchie Hwy. in Brooklyn Park is undergoing a lot of changes. Thrift store Value Village has closed, rebranded, and relocated; Burger King is opening; Black Friday Daily Deals is opening; and another fast food restaurant is under construction.
Longtime tenant Value Village moved to 7740 Ritchie Hwy. in Glen Burnie and is now under the name 2A Thrift. It still has a donation center.
Black Friday Daily Deals will be opening in much of the large, former Value Village space. Black Friday Daily Deals was started in the Washington, D.C. area.

Burger King is opening in a new building that is under construction at the northern end of the parking lot. It will have a drive-thru.
Another fast food restaurant with outdoor seating and a drive-thru window is also under construction at the shopping center. It sits adjacent to Dairy Queen. SouthBMore.com does not have confirmation on what business is opening in this building.
The grocery store space at the shopping center, which was previously home to Shoppers and Lidl, remains vacant.
Across the street, the former Rite Aid at 5804 Ritchie Hwy. will become Showroom Shine Carwash. Construction is underway to convert the former pharmacy. Showroom Shine also has locations in Curtis Bay, Gambrills, and Glen Burnie.
