The warm and rainy stretch will continue into Wednesday.
We could start the day with rain and a few thunderstorms again. Morning temperatures will be in the middle to upper 50s.
By the afternoon, temperatures will be around 20 to 25 degrees warmer than normal for mid-April.
Afternoon highs will reach the middle to upper 70s around Syracuse and across the Southern Tier. Temperatures in the North Country will reach the 60s.
It will not be raining all day, but like the past few we could start the day with rain followed by some peeks of sunshine through the afternoon hours.
Rain chances will then continue into Thursday. Friday will feature the lowest rain chances with a good amount of dry time into Saturday.
But, by Saturday evening into Sunday we will see a front work through, and this will bring another chance for showers over the weekend.
Temperatures will be in the 50s for most mornings with highs in the 70s through Saturday.

Former President Joe Biden visited his Alma Mater, Syracuse University, on Tuesday for a special portrait unveiling. The 46th U.S. president graduated from SU’s College of Law in 1968. Syracuse is also where he met his first wife, Neilia, a native of Skaneateles, who died in a car crash shortly after Biden’s election to a Delaware U.S. Senate seat in 1972.
2. Onondaga County announces name for new aquarium
The new name of Onondaga County’s aquarium in Syracuse will be the Harborview Aquarium, County Executive Ryan McMahon said Tuesday.
3. Monument erected for Central N.Y. police officers killed in action
Two fallen Central New York police officers received a tribute, including a monument, in Syracuse’s Tipperary Hill on Tuesday.
4. Western N.Y. company helps power Artemis II launch, looks ahead to Artemis III
The recently completed Artemis II mission was, in part, made possible by engineers from upstate New York. Employees at Moog in East Aurora played different roles in helping get the team to, and from, the moon.
5. Bald eagle eggs hatch in Western New York, but 2 of 3 eaglets don’t survive
 When two bald eagle eggs hatched in Big Bear Valley, California, it set the internet on fire. Closer to home, the same thing is happening. A national wildlife refuge in Western New York is home to a pair of bald eagles who are also new parents. It’s a big draw, and also a reminder of how fragile nature can be.
6. Diplomats try to arrange second round of U.S.-Iran talks during first full day of American blockade
Diplomats worked through back channels Tuesday to arrange a new round of talks between the United States and Iran after Washington enacted its blockade of Iranian ports, while Tehran threatened to strike targets across the war-weary region.

Roadblocks to New York allowing selling wine in grocery stores
For years, New York state lawmakers have been going back and forth on the issue of allowing grocery stores to sell wine and liquor. This year, one bill was re-introduced by state Sen. Liz Krueger and state Assemblymember Pam Hunter to allow wine to be sold in grocery stores and another bill was introduced by state Sen. Luis Sepulveda to sell wine and liquor in groceries.
