BROOKLYN, NY — Michelin unveiled its newest lineup of New York City restaurants earning a spot in the prestigious guide on Wednesday, with Brooklyn claiming the largest share of fresh additions.

Michelin updates its guide twice a year, spotlighting newcomers that could later earn its coveted Star distinction when awards are announced in the fall.

Some may also find themselves on the Bib Gourmand list—an honor reserved for restaurants offering high-quality meals at approachable prices.

This spring’s update features nine newly recognized eateries, with Brooklyn edging out Manhattan for the most nods.

For readers less familiar, the Michelin Guide is the internationally recognized dining authority that periodically grants its coveted Stars and other honors to standout restaurants around the world.

Later this year, a regional ceremony—encompassing New York and other Northeast cities along with Chicago—will announce which of the latest contenders earn Stars or Bib Gourmands.

In Brooklyn, the newly recognized restaurants include the following:

Bong, 724 Sterling Place — This Crown Heights spot earns praise for its shared-plates menu featuring vibrant Cambodian cuisine. Entre Nous, 39 Clifton Place — The Clinton Hill natural wine bar offers an extensive list of low-intervention wines, select beers, and sipping spirits, paired with a menu of classic French small plates. It’s a sibling concept to Fradei, the beloved Fort Greene bistro. I Cavallini, 284 Grand Street—Located in Williamsburg across from its sibling restaurant The Four Horsemen, Chef Nick Curtola pivots here to a full Italian menu in an intimate setting. Los Burritos Juarez, 354 Myrtle Avenue — This Fort Greene favorite specializes in regional burritos seldom found in New York, highlighting border-style recipes from El Paso and Ciudad Juárez. Vato, 226 Seventh Avenue—Created by the team behind Manhattan’s Michelin-starred Corima, this Park Slope tortillería and daytime bakery serves sourdough tortas filled with slow-braised beef cheek barbacoa, Chihuahuan-style burritos, pastries from Corima’s Erick Rocha and Oaxacan coffee.

These newcomers appear immediately on the MICHELIN Guide mobile app (iOS and Android), marked with a distinctive “New” symbol for easy discovery, officials said.
