Founded in 1904, Cord Meyer Development is a Queens real estate owner and developer whose Bay Terrace Shopping Center is located less than one mile from Crocheron Park. The company recently announced plans for a new rental community at the center, to be built on unĀderutilized upper-level parking areas off 26th AvĀenue.
According to Forgione, construction is exĀpected to continue for approximately two years, with the center remaining open for business throughout. Visitors to upper-level tenants AMC, PM Pediatrics, Mito, and Five Guys are directed to use the shopping centerās main entrance on Bell Boulevard and proceed directly to the parking garage.
āWith construction underway at the Bay TerĀrace Shopping Center, we are busier than ever, but itās important that we continue to support the community in meaningful ways,ā said Forgione. āSponsoring Friends of Crocheron & John Golden Park is central to that commitment. Weāre proud to play a role in the work Jessica and her team are doing, including the many events that bring the community into the park and keep it top of mind. That collective effort has helped bring renewed attention to long-needed park mainteĀnance, including the significant restoration of the twin gazebos secured by Councilmember PalĀadino.ā
Founded in 2020, Friends of Crocheron & John Golden Park works in partnership with NYC Parks to support environmental stewardship, preservation, and community engagement throughout Crocheron Park and the adjoining John Golden Park.
