BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — An employee with the Department of Education was arrested on Wednesday in connection with an attempted assault on a child, the NYPD says.

The 41-year-old employee faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child and attempted assault, according to authorities.

Sources say the employee picked up a 10-year-old and dropped them, causing injuries. Other details regarding incident were not immediately made available.
