Bronx nonprofit connects families with child care solutions

Child care initiatives have been at the forefront of the first 100 days of the Mamdani administration.

Last week, the mayor announced most 2-K seats will operate on a full-day and full-year schedule. More than 2,000 free child care seats will be open to 2-year-olds this fall.

Davon Russell, president of the Bronx nonprofit Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation, joined “The Rush Hour” on Tuesday to talk about how this will support families, as well as some of the struggles both parents and child care providers are facing.
