NEW YORK – A fire that broke out Friday morning in a Lower Manhattan apartment building is under investigation after officials found Molotov cocktails inside the unit, fire officials said.

What we know:

The FDNY said the call came in at 8:23 a.m. for a reported fire on the third floor of a building at 14 Murray St., between Church Street and Broadway.

A total dozens of firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene. The fire was brought under control at 9:05 a.m.

One civilian was evaluated at the scene for minor injuries, according to officials. 

What we don’t know:

No additional information about that person was immediately available.

Fire marshals were requested to investigate after Molotov cocktails were discovered in the apartment where the fire started. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
