A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the Ridgewood-Brooklyn border this morning, according to police.
A white box truck was moving northbound on St. Nicholas Avenue and struck the 30-year-old victim in a crosswalk while making a left turn onto Gates Avenue, per the NYPD. She was found unconscious with trauma about the head and body at 8:30 a.m. EMS took her to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The driver did not stay on the scene, police said. No arrests were immediately made, and the investigation is ongoing.
