MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Two Topekans were arrested Thursday, April 16, in connection with a string of burglaries at one home in Manhattan.
According to the Riley County Police Department, officers filed a report of burglary on April 12, 14, and 16 in the 1200 block of Tabor Valley Road.
The victim was listed as a 67-year-old man.
It was reported that unknown suspects broke into his home on three occasions and stole several items, including a safe and its contents.
RCPD says the total estimated loss is unknown at this time.
As a result of an investigation, two individuals were arrested in connection with the burglaries.
Thomas William Wallace Mundy, 30, of Topeka, was arrested around 3:29 p.m. on April 16 in the 1200 block of Tabor Valley Road.
Mundy was arrested in connection with burglary and dwelling to steal a firearm and was booked into the Riley County Jail under a $15,000 bond.
McKinley Glen Hopkins, 34, of Topeka, was also arrested around 3:29 p.m. on April 16 in the 1200 block of Tabor Valley Road.
Hopkins was arrested in connection with burglary and dwelling to steal a firearm. Hopkins was issued a total bond of $15,000 and remains in the Riley County Jail.
