Queens Park Rangers are reportedly targeting a move for a Manchester United full-back ahead of the summer transfer window as they begin planning for next season.

The Championship side are currently assessing options in the left-back position.

Uncertainty currently surrounds their current situation and long-term depth in that area.

According to David McIntyre via West London Sport, United youngster Harry Amass has emerged as a leading target for the London club.

Amass, who turned 19 last month, is highly regarded and has already gained valuable experience through multiple loan spells this season.

He spent the first half of the campaign at Sheffield Wednesday, where he impressed and was even named the club’s Player of the Month for November.

That form earned him a January move to Norwich City.

His time at Carrow Road was cut short.

In February, Harry Amass returned to Manchester United after suffering a hamstring injury in training shortly after making his debut.

It was subsequently decided that he would not return to Norwich for the remainder of the season.

Despite that setback, interest in the young full-back remains strong.

QPR are understood to be prioritising a move for him, although Norwich are also expected to retain interest heading into the summer window.

Amass joined Manchester United from Watford in 2023 and has since progressed through the ranks.

He has already made a few senior appearances.

The young defender has also represented England at various youth levels, further highlighting his potential.

QPR’s interest comes as they consider their options with Rhys Norrington-Davies, whose loan spell is nearing its end.

While the club would be open to keeping him, negotiations with Sheffield United are not expected to be straightforward.

As a result, attention has turned towards younger, high-potential alternatives, with Amass fitting that profile.

With the summer window approaching, his situation will be one to watch as multiple clubs weigh up a move for the promising United defender.
