A Brooklyn man crashed into a Long Island police vehicle while driving drunk, then tried to pay off the cops who arrested him, authorities said Tuesday.

Chi Hung Leung, a 50-year-old Bath Beach resident, collided with a Nassau County police vehicle just before 6 a.m. Monday in East Hills, the county police department said Tuesday in an alert.

Leung initially tried to speed away from the scene in his vehicle, but when that didn’t work he took off on foot, according to police. However, he was quickly located nearby by additional officers.

Investigators determined Leung was drunk at the time of his arrest. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

“During the course of the arrest, the defendant did offer numerous officers money in exchange for his release,” Nassau County police wrote in the alert.

The crash occurred on the Long Island Expressway near exit 38, about 25 miles northeast of Leung’s home in Brooklyn. At the time, Nassau County highway patrol officers were responding to an unrelated 911 call when Leung hit one of their vehicles, cops said.

The officer whose vehicle Leung struck was also hospitalized and expected to recover from their injuries.

Leung was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, three counts of second-degree bribery and two counts of fleeing. His arraignment was scheduled for Tuesday.
