I think I just found the new king of Caribbean-American fusion in New York City. If you’re a fan of jerk chicken, you need to get to The Golden Grillers in Jamaica, Queens. They are serving up some of the most flavorful, saucy, and massive platters I’ve ever seen. The result? Pure deliciousness.
The feast starts with their super crispy chicken tenders. They are golden brown and perfectly seasoned. But the real magic happens when they drench them in two of their house-made sauces. First, a garlic cilantro sauce, followed by their signature “Golden Sauce.” It’s creamy, tangy, and absolutely elite.
The Jerk Chicken Masterpiece
But we’re here for the jerk chicken. They chop it up right on the grill and hit it with a heavy pour of their jerk sauce. The steam rising off that meat is insane. They use this chicken to create some of the wildest combinations.
My personal favorite? The Jerk Loaded Plantains. They take those sweet, sizzling fried plantains and pile them high with parmesan cheese, roasted corn, and a massive portion of that jerk chicken. They finish it off with chipotle sauce and more of that Golden Sauce. Every bite is a rollercoaster of sweet, spicy, and savory. It’s a total game-changer.

If you want the full experience, you have to try their Jerk Chicken Burrito. It’s stuffed with everything from the jerk chicken platter—rice, beans, corn, and of course, plenty of cheese. They grill the burrito with butter until it’s perfectly toasted.
The best part? Dipping that massive burrito right into a cup of the Golden Sauce. Look at that drip! It’s messy, it’s beautiful, and it’s one of the best bangs for your buck in the city.
