STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Anyone traveling into Manhattan this weekend will want to plan accordingly, as a couple of events will result in road closures.

While there will be no announced closures on Saturday, the NYPD said there will be two events that could result in some travel delays on Sunday: the Persian Day Parade and Festival, as well as the 6th Avenue Spring Fair.

The Persian Day Parade and Festival is slated to take over a stretch of Madison Avenue.

The formation for the parade will take place on 38th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue. The procession will move along Madison Avenue between 27th Street and 38th Street before dispersing on 27th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue South.

The festival will be held on Madison Avenue between 26th Street and 27th Street.

The 6th Avenue Spring Fair will take place along 6th Avenue between 23rd Street and 33rd Street.

As noted in an advisory from the NYPD, the closures will be at the discretion of police.
