The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 11:13 a.m. on April 19 in the area of Diamond Point Road and Lake Shore Drive.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the bus allegedly did not come to a stop at the intersection of the two roads, causing it to go off-road past the intersection. Police say the bus hit several trees, an outbuilding, a boat, and a vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office says the driver and four passengers were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. The remaining passengers were taken to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

The Red Cross says it is providing food, blankets, and comfort kits to 23 people involved in the crash. Officials say seventeen students and six chaperones, from a number of different high schools in the Bronx, were aboard.

The crash remains under investigation.
