GIFTHORSE have shared their new EP ‘Queens Of Highgate’.

The band hail from North London, and reference points from their locality litter their lyric sheets. Recently shooting a live session in Waterlow Park – close to the famed bust of Karl Marx which sits atop his grave – it’s safe to say they write about what they know.

Cute indie pop hymns that are unafraid to linger on the noise aspects of the guitar spectrum, GIFTHORSE blend everything from Spector-esque girl group melodies to shoegaze heaven, with the odd crunching punk power chord for good measure.

Out now, ‘Queens Of Highgate’ is an excellent listen – teasing their undoubted potential, the prodigal outfit tap into their passion for melody while never simply replicating the past.

Stamping their identity on each song, the EP builds up into something that is succinct, yet also fully formed.

Tune in now.
