FLATBUSH — FLATBUSH RESIDENT TESLYN Miller, 78, says years of leaks at her home at 305 Linden Blvd. have caused mold so severe that mushrooms now grow from her ceiling, according to News12 Brooklyn.
“I try to keep my place clean,” she said. “The inspector came and said that it is [a] mushroom.”
The Department of Housing Preservation and Development has documented nine open violations in the apartment since Oct. 14, many related to mold. Miller says the conditions have affected her health.
HPD said it has inspected the apartment and is working to bring it up to code.
