QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — Trains on the No. 7 subway line were running with delays Tuesday morning after a man was struck by a train in Queens, according to police and the MTA.

The incident happened at the Junction Boulevard station around 7:11 a.m. The man was hit by a Manhattan-bound train and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Service was temporarily suspended between Flushing-Main Street and 33rd Street-Rawson Street.

The MTA announced that trains resumed running with delays at around 9:26 a.m.

Commuters were encouraged to take the E, F, M, N, R, and W trains or an NYC Transit bus.

Commuters should check the MTA website or app for service updates.

Police did not provide additional information about how the man ended up on the train tracks.
