RSVPs are now open for Manhattan Beach’s annual State of the City address, scheduled for 5-7:30 pm April 30 at the Westdrift Manhattan Beach hotel.
City leaders, community members, and local business owners will convene for the annual address, which this year is centered on the city’s “Future Forward” theme and the opportunity arriving with the 2026 World Cup.
In addition to updates on the city’s upcoming projects and initiatives, speakers will explore how major international events will shape our local economy, public safety, and community experience in 2026 and beyond.

There will then be a reception for ticketed guests from 6:30-7:30 pm. Admission is free to the event, but the cost to attend the post-event reception is $50, and also includes drinks, heavy appetizers, live music, and a meet-and-greet with city and business leaders on the Westdrift’s outdoor patio.
