MOTT HAVEN, Bronx (PIX11) — The NYPD is asking for help in finding an individual accused of attacking a woman on a subway train on April 9.
Police say the incident happened on a southbound No. 5 train at the East 138 Street and Grand Concourse subway station.
According to authorities, around 12:10 p.m., an unidentified individual approached a 35-year-old female and engaged in a verbal dispute.
Police say the individual struck the victim multiple times in the head with an unknown blunt object.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to the NYPD.

After the attack, police say the unidentified individual was able to escape on foot.
The suspect is described as a woman, last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and beige shoes.
