LAURELTON, Queens (PIX11) — Three neighbors were stabbed during a fight over a dog urinating on a Queens lawn Thursday morning, police and sources said.
Officers responded to the assault in front of 139-42 229th St. near 139th Avenue in Laurelton at around 10:55 a.m., according to the NYPD.

Sources said the suspect came out of his home and attacked the victims after seeing the dog peeing on his lawn. Surveillance video showed the suspect also urinating on the grass.
A 39-year-old man was stabbed in the back multiple times, and a 39-year-old woman was stabbed in the left arm, police said. The dog belonged to the couple, sources said.
“No one should be hurt over a dog mess,” a neighborhood resident said.
The suspect’s 62-year-old father was slashed in the left hand while breaking up the fight, sources said. The victims were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
“That’s tragic. It’s a very quiet neighborhood. We haven’t had anything like this over here,” resident Jimmie White told PIX11 News.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene and the charges were pending, according to the NYPD.
